Es ist schon ein bisschen her, dass ich das erste mal Casino Royale gesehen habe, und mir ist auch eigentlich egal, was für einen Bond Daniel Craig abgibt. Was mir schon beim ersten mal ansehen aufgefallen ist, war der algerische Liebesknoten von Eva Green.
The Bond Original
Eine kleine Google- Suche ergibt aber, dass dieses Schmuckstück etwa 1900 £ über dem liegt, was ich auszugeben bereit bin. Ich habe also ein ganzes Jahr nach einer Alternative gesucht, aber so richtig nah ist dem Orginal auch ein gutes, teures Plagiat nicht gekommen.Weil ja momentan Ferien sind und ich Zeit habe, habe ich also beschlossen, das Ding sebstzubauen. Das Ergebnis sieht so aus:

Silberfolie - 3,98 €
Anlegemilch - 2,99 €
Schutzlack - 2,99 €
Ketten, Nietstifte, Knebelverschuss - ca. 9 €
Insgesamt also etwa 26 € und damit im Preisrahmen.Außerdem sind für den Preis auch noch zwei kleine, tropfenförmige Anhänger rausgesprungen, und ich hab noch von allem genug übrig, um einen ganzen Schmuckladen auszustatten, wenn dann mal die Inspiration kommt.
It's been some time since I first saw Casino Royale and I didn't even care if Daniel Craig is a good Bond or not, because what remember best is Eva Green's Algerian Loveknot. It was love at first sight - I had to have it. A quick Google- search later and I know it's about 1900 £ more expensive than I'm willing to pay. I looked for an alternative for about a year, but nothing came really close to the original one, not even an expensive, good plagiate. Well, at the moment I have holidays and so I decided I'd diy. This is what it looks like.
Material:
polymer clay - 2,50 €
beaten gold and silver - each abou 4 €
glue for beateen gold - 3 €
protective finish - 3€
chains and closure - about 9€
Total about 26 € - I could afford that! I also made two little drop- pendants and I have enough of all left to make tons of other stuff as soonb as I know what I want to have next.
... aber nicht irgendwelche, sondern selbstgemachte. Meine Mami hat sie zum Geburtstag bekommen. Das "Futter" ist aus Thermolan, dei Vorder- und Rückseite sind von IKEA.

Dieses Kleid ist toll!
Es passt perfekt. Am Busen und in der Tallie hat es von Anfang an gepasst. Ich finde den Ausschnitt ganz klasse, weil er so ein bisschen "sweetheart neckline" ist, aber trotzdem recht "zu" ist. Also man kann nicht reingucken. Das einzige klitzekleine Problem ist, dass es am Rücken unten nicht ganz stimmt. Irgendwie funktioniert es da mit dem Reißverschluss nicht ganz. Aber wenn man es mit Gürtel trägt fällt da überhaupt nicht auf, und ich finde es ohne Gürtel eh langweilig. Also kein Problem für mich.
Der Schnitt ist genauso toll. Wenn irgendwo eine Markierung war, dann hat sie auf Anhieb gepasst. Selbst an den Kurven hatte ich keine Probleme, die Markierungen zu treffen. Die Anleitung ist verständlich, hat viele Bilder und ist sehr ausführlich. Beim Schnittmusterbogen hätte ich mir ein bisschen stärkeres Papier gewünscht. Ich besitze nicht viele Einzelschnitte, aber bei meinen Burdaschnitten muss ich wenigstens keine Angst haben, sie zu zerreißen, wenn ich sie flachbügle.
Das war mein erstes Nähprojekt, das voll gefüttert ist. Auch das Futter hat ohne Probleme hingehauen.
Den Schnitt habe ich für 13€ bekommen (Danke an die liebe Frau, die mir 2 € geschenkt hat). Das ist natürlich schon eine Menge Geld für ein Schnittmuster, aber ich glaube, dass es das wert war. So wenig Probleme beim Nähen, da zahle ich gerne 13€.
Stoff: Vom Africa- Festival, 15€, das futter ist aus dem gleichen Bettlaken wie im letzten post

Größe: XS, ich habe die Tunika- Länge gemacht, trage es aber als Kleid. 
This dress is great!
It fits me perfectly. I did not have to adjust the bust or waist, as I had to with the other dress (and have to with a lot I buy from stores). I love the neckline, because it is slightly sweetheart, but not revealing at all. the only little complaint would be the back: I dont know why, but something with the zipper didn't quite work out. It doesn't fit there so well. But if I put on the belt one can't see it. I think the belt makes it interesting, so I don't think I'll ever wear it without the belt, so it doesn't matter.
The pattern is just as good. If there was a notch, it matched on the first try. even at the curves I did not have any problems. the insrtuctions are easy to understand, have a lot of little steps and are illustrated very well. Maybe they could print it on better paper. I don't own many patterns, but my burdapattern is printed on a paper that doesn't tear if I iron it flat.
This was the first time I sewed something with lining. Even the lining worked out wonderfully.
I got the pattern for 13€. This is quite a pricetag for a pattern, and I got it 2€ cheaper (Thanks!). But I would pay it again, because this worked out so well, it saved my a lot of time and anger over a not fitting pattern.

Size: XS, I made the tunic lenghth, but I wear it as a dress.
Mein weißes Kleid ist endlich trgabar! Angefangen habe ich letztes Jahr etwa um diese Zeit, fertig war es letzten Herbst. Das war natürlich ein bisschen spät, um es noch zu tragen.
Außerdem habe ich das mit dem Unterkleidchen nicht so richtig hinbekommen. Jetzt habe ich mir einfach ein Unterhemd für 3,99€ gekauft und einen Rockteil aus Bettlaken hingenäht (mit französischen Nähten!).
Zuerst dachte ich, dass das nichts mehr werden kann. Aber das war glaub' ich eher Näh-Frustration. Ich mag mein weißes Kleid. Aber ich würde es nicht nochmal nähen wollen.

Problem: Der Busen schlägt Falten, obwohl ich noch einen Abnäher mehr gemacht habe und das Kleid mir laut Tabelle eigentlich passen sollte.
I can finally wear my white dress! I started sewing it last year around this time and finished it in autumn. It was a bit late to wear it then.
I just couldn't figure out, how to sew a slip that would fit the neckline. Now I bought a simple white cami and sewed the skirt part to the bottom. The skirt has french seams.
Fist I thought I'd never get it done. But I think that was just sewing-frustration. I like my white dress. It is (almost) like I thought it would be. But I wouldn't sew it again.

Am Wochenende habe ich mir den Sweetheart Rose Maker in der mittleren Größe für 7,25€ gekauft. Und ich habe ihn auch gleich ausprobiert. Also habe ch ein paar T-Shirt Reste zusammengeschnitten und losgelegt. Der Rose Maker besteht aus zwei Teilen (2), die so zusammengefaltet sind, dass sie ein 5- Eck ergeben (1). Die Rückseite der beiden Teile fühlt sich ein bisschen an wie Vliseline (3). Außerdem liegt eine Haarnadel bei. Die Anleitung (4) ist auf Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Spanisch.Man legt seinen Stoff zwischen die Teile (ganz schön haarig, weil die Teile ja gefaltet sind und sich ständig verdrehen) faltet das 5-Eck und näht außenrum (mit dem T-Shirt Stoff war das einfach, aber ich denke, dass es mit einem nicht-Strecht Stoff ganz schön kompliziert wird mit den Ecken). Am Ende hat man einen Schlauch mit Windung, den man zusammenzieht und mit der Haarnadel aufwickelt.Alles in Allem ist das also gar nicht so einfach. Aber ich finde die Rosen (5), die damit entstehen, sehr schön. Ich war nie so richtig zufrieden mit den Rosen, die ich bisher gemacht habe, denn die haben immer mehr nach Kindergarten ausgeschaut. Mit dem Rose Maker bekommen sie die Windung mehr, die sie halt nötig haben und sehen weniger nach Stoff- Rolle aus. Ich finde die Rosen wirklich sehr schön, aber die 7,25€, die ich bezahlt habe ganz schön happig. In Amerika kostet der Rose Maker aber nur ungerechnet 5,50€.
I bought the Sweetheart Rose Maker Medium at the weekend. And I tried it with some t-shirt scraps. The Rose maker consists of two seperate pieces (2), that are folded, so that they make a pentagon (1). The back of both pieces feels a bit like interfacing (3). You get a bobby pin and instructions in English, Spanish,German and French with the kit (4).
You sandwich the fabric between the pattern (wich is not as easy as it sounds, because the pattern fold itself up) and fold it up. Then you sew around the edges (wich was easy with the strechy fabric, but I think it could be hard with non-stretch). You get a tube with a twist, that you gather and roll up with he bobby pin.
It is not as easy as I had thought, but I think the roses (5) are very pretty. I've never been quite satisfied with the roses I had made, because they always looked more like kindergarden. The Rose Maker gives them the twist they need not to look like rolled up fabric. I really like the roses, but I paid more than it would have cost in America (I paid about 9$).
